Areas of Expertise
Psychotherapy
At my psychotherapy practice, clients can work one-on-one with a therapist in a safe, supportive, and confidential environment. I provide personalized sessions that allow individuals to explore their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors, as well as present-day difficulties. My services are available in both English and Russian, and are conducted online.
Numerous studies have shown that online therapies can be just as effective as face-to-face therapies, and I will provide you with an informed consent document before your first appointment. This document outlines the detailed conditions of our services to ensure that you are comfortable with the process.
My fee for individual sessions is $150 per session, which includes HST. Each session is 50 minutes in length, and payment can be made via credit card or Interac e-transfer. I do require 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel your appointment, and I have a cancellation policy in place.
It's important to note that psychotherapy is not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP), but some extended insurance policies may provide coverage. Please check with your insurance provider to confirm your coverage.
I'm dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to individuals who are seeking to improve their mental health and well-being. Please feel free to contact me to learn more about how I can help you on your journey towards healing and growth.
Supervision
Supervision is a critical component of professional development that serves three primary purposes: formal assessment, experiential processing, and teaching. In the context of formal assessment, supervision provides oversight for case management and quality control issues. In terms of experiential processing, supervision is designed to encourage emotional experiencing and processing. Finally, supervision is a teaching tool that helps maintain and facilitate supervisees' competence, capability, and overall effectiveness.
Supervision can be conducted in a one-on-one format or in a mini-group setting. The primary focus of supervision is case formulation and addressing any personal struggles that may interfere with a therapist's ability to support their clients effectively. At my practice, I'm committed to providing high-quality supervision that supports the growth and development of therapists at all stages of their careers.
